The lovely chaps at brand consultancy Elmwood approached us to produce this film which tells the story behind their companies new rebrand.
We have never encountered a logo loaded with so much meaning, with each element of their crest representing key moments of their history as well as aspects of their creative approach and the tools and techniques they employ.
Elmwood wanted the piece to have a hand drawn feel that reflected the crafting and detail they apply to their projects.
Considering the complexity of some of the scenes and elements we opted to produce the entire spot in 3D using a modified sketch and toon render.
Elmwood really wanted their staff to feel a sense of ownership of their new brand.
We recorded several members of their team for the voice over and also shot a variety of their staff members hands to composite into the film.
