We were approached by Film4 to create a set of typographic treatments for their comedy season trail.
The purpose of each graphic is to explain to the viewer the comedic formulas behind some of their featured films.
The Crime & Investigation Network asked us to design and produce the visuals for their seasonal promo showcasing their far from festive line-up of programmes. Our aim was to capture the mood of the gritty festive offering as well as featuring key programme information and imagery within the murderous motifs of guns, knives and corpses.
For this Ident for Jetix Europe we had the idea of unexpectedly transforming a classic Christmas card scene into an energised Christmas party featuring content from flagship Jetix shows.
Radium Audio composed a brilliant electro track and sound design for the spot.
five approached us to help them come up with an execution for Fiver’s launch idents using only the coloured rectangle element from their logo. In all we produced 8 idents featuring an eclectic mix of scenes and actions all created with rectangles and animated to two tracks chosen by five.
We pitched to Endemol to design and animate this title sequence for the iTunes Festival. Our goal was to reference the style of the venue for the event (Koko in Camden) and combine with a summertime festival feel.
We produced this title sequence for BT Vision’s weekly film show. The sequence is a series of mini scenes referencing various film genres and some classic movie moments.
Sci Fi channel commissioned us to design and produce this title sequence for their series which can literally be about anything. We designed and produced the piece to reflect the eclectic nature of its offering. This was our first project with the brilliant Radium Audio who created a beautiful piece of sound design.
We created a mammoth 9 minutes of animation for this internal film for five. The purpose of the piece was for five to congratulate their staff on their achievements over the previous year.
BT Vision asked us create this festive packaging for their entire platform. Delivering everything from idents and promo kits to the EPG background, the entire BT Vision service went sparkle mad for December & January. The music was sparkled up by Hum.
For the week leading up to the final episode of Sopranos, E4 aired these countdown opticals we created. To tease the viewer each piece uses a subtle motif or symbolic element to reference some of the core themes and moods of the show.
Playhouse Disney commissioned us to produce 1 of 8 animations aimed at making pre-school children aware of environmental issues. We were given the theme of saving electricity and asked to script, design and animate the spot which aims to make a dry message child friendly.
These two promos for Paramount Comedy both showcase a specific month of programmes. The first spot called Big October was designed to reference the channels illustrated style and show the channel bursting at the seams with new content. We were then asked to refresh this idea for their Fat Feb season.
five asked us to design and produce the title sequence, programme packaging and promotions kit for their football coverage: Football Italiano, Football on Five and Uefa on Five. We worked closely with Sunset + Vine (who produced the shows) using their footage to create a pulsating sequence featuring some of the best known Serie A players.
ABC1 came to us with the idea of creating a promo using nothing but sounds and the actions of a typewriter to convey a fictional storyline of a crime drama. We designed the sequence to have the look and feel of a graphic novel while our client created the sound bed.
The Audi Channel approached us to create this commercial for their new credit card. Featuring a 3D animated Audi R8 driving through a mysterious terrain highlighting key facts about the credit card along the way.
For these sponsorship spots we created 3D models of three recognisable UK landmarks which we then wrapped with pages from the Telegraph. We then set about the task of compositing and tracking the models into specially selected stock footage.
We worked with Turner Media to produce this 20 sec commercial for the new Ben 10 magazine. Using bluescreen footage and motion control data we composited the kids into the 3D environments and put the spot together over two weeks.
A journey from the countryside in the morning, through the suburbs, and then arriving in the city at night. We built the entire spot for ITV using only royalty free photographs and some 3D text animated to a medley of some of Neil Diamond’s most recognisable lyrics.
Anything goes on Disney Channel and everyone’s welcome. Well that’s the idea behind our pitch for the design and packaging of Disney’s Freekend block. This mood board is a procession of characters we proposed would feature in the packaging and encapsulates the look and style of what we presented.
Endemol asked us to create the opening title animation as well as the content graphics for this three part documentary which re-traces the footsteps of 14th Century traveler Ibn Battutah.
TV3 asked us to produce the visuals for this promo for their block of ball-busting lady programmes. Our brief was to keep the piece feeling girly but without covering the whole thing in flowery clichés.
Turner Media asked us to animate the visuals for these Toys R Us sponsorship idents. Referencing the look and feel of Storm Hawks we created a set of 5 and 10 second spots that all feature the Toys R Us logo being obliterated or created by a swirling vortex. We also created packaging for the Storm Hawks promos and web drives.
How did Disney’s characters gain their trademark traits? That is the question we had to answer in this series of 8 interstitials which combine a ton of rotoscoped characters with weird and wonderful 3D contraptions.
